These Lion’s Mane plug spawn contain Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) spawn, which grows a nutritious medicinal mushroom that produces plump white clusters with icicle-like teeth. When cooked, it has a consistency and flavour similar to crab meat.

This is a great outdoor mushroom for intermediate growers with spare wood. Instructions included will explain the best practices to start growing these mushrooms as well as best wood compatibility. They colonize slowly but are relatively reliable producers for many years.

Note: Aside from being kiln dried, our wooden dowels are not treated in any other way.
