Perfect for both beginners and seasoned growers, our spawn can deliver the thrill of foraging without leaving your backyard.  Wood Blewit inoculation is an experimental mushroom variety that requires minimum effort to see success. Garden preparation involves preparing a bed enriched with wood chips (softwood or hardwood is fine) and leaf litter. We recommend preparing in layers to maximize the chance of a successful long-term established bed. This mushroom will benefit from being inoculated into an area that is naturally enriched with oak, maple, or alder leaves.

Each Wood Blewit (Lepista nuda) spawn bag contains 6.6 pounds of inoculated grain spawn with actively growing mushroom mycelium. This culture was isolated from a perfect specimen growing next to a softwood forest in a neighbours yard. Not only has this culture been DNA sequenced to confirm it is indeed Wood Blewit, but also the unique lavender mycelium is a distinctive feature of this mushroom.
