We recommend you research growing black morels, and even consider using a host tree to help establish the colony.

Each black morel (Morchella angusticeps) spawn bag contains 6.6 pounds of inoculated spawn with actively growing mushroom mycelium. This culture was isolated from a perfect specimen growing in a forest fire site and the culture has been DNA sequenced to confirm it is indeed black morel.

Use this to inoculate a prepared about 150 square feet of your yard for spring mushrooms. We have been trying to get this to fruit indoors, and so far we are close getting some early mushroom primordia! Pick up where we left off and see if you can crack the code!
